The comfort barrel mouth piece is ergonomically shaped to suit the conformation of the mouth. An ideal choice for ponies with little space in the mouth for a bit. The barrel centre sits comfortably on the tongue with no links and gives independent side movement. Horses with thick fleshy lips will benefit greatly as the barrel mouth prevents the lips being pinched by the links of the double jointed bits.

The Wilkie cheek of this bit adds poll pressure. This will make the bit stronger.

This bit needs fitting so there is a 5mm gap either side to prevent the rings pinching the lips as they slide through the holes. Do not fit it too big as this will allow the bit to slide and this will be uncomfortable for your pony.
